Page Vault Expands Social Media & Web Collection Capabilities

Discover Page Vault’s enhanced social media and web collection capabilities, designed to improve precision, scalability, and control in capturing dynamic content.

Last Updated February 2026

Over the past several months, Page Vault has significantly expanded and strengthened its social media and web collection capabilities to support larger matters, more precise targeting, and more reliable capture of dynamic content.

These updates are designed to reduce manual effort, improve scalability, and help your team collect what matters, without over-collecting what doesn’t.

Here’s what’s new.

Batch Capture for Facebook & Instagram

Batch Social Media collection has been expanded and enhanced across both platforms.

You can now:

  • Run Facebook batch captures directly within the Page Vault Browser
  • Include Instagram in batch workflows
  • Apply optional date range filtering to collect only the content you need
  • Use enhanced Scrape & Capture workflows for high-volume matters

In practical terms, this means fewer one-off captures and more streamlined workflows.

Instead of collecting post-by-post, you can gather larger sets of content in a single job — with more control over scope and timing.

This is especially valuable for matters involving:

  • Extended timelines
  • High post volume
  • Ongoing monitoring
  • Accounts with large comment activity

Automatic Video Downloads (Including Reels)

Video content is increasingly central to social media evidence — and it can’t be an afterthought in collection.

Batch jobs now support more complete video handling.

When enabled, Page Vault will:

  • Detect embedded videos in supported Facebook and Instagram posts
  • Download associated MP4 files
  • Include those video files in your job results associated with the PDF capture of the post and comments

Additional improvements include:

  • Improved handling of Facebook Reels
  • Expanded capture of long comment threads

Videos are delivered in standard MP4 format with accompanying metadata for compatibility across macOS and Windows environments.

If video files are not necessary for your matter, the embedded video option can be turned off during batch setup — giving you flexibility based on the needs of the case.

Optional Date Range Filtering

Targeted collection reduces review burden.

You can now apply date range filters within batch workflows to narrow collection to specific timeframes.

This allows you to:

  • Focus on relevant periods
  • Avoid unnecessary over-collection
  • Reduce downstream processing and review volume

The result is a more precise and defensible collection strategy from the outset.

In-Progress Job Cancellation

Large batch jobs can take time to process, and priorities don’t always stay static.

You can now cancel a batch job directly from Job History while it’s still in progress. This gives your team more flexibility to adjust collection scope, respond to changing matter needs, or reallocate system resources without waiting for a job to complete.

The result is greater control over your workflow — especially in fast-moving or evolving matters.

Moving Forward

Social platforms evolve quickly — formats change, content volume increases, and workflows become more complex.

These enhancements are designed to help your team keep pace with that reality. Whether you're handling a high-volume matter, conducting targeted collection, or preserving dynamic video content, Page Vault’s expanded capabilities are built to support scalable, consistent, and defensible outcomes.

As collection demands grow, the goal remains the same: give your team greater precision, greater control, and greater confidence in the evidence you preserve.
