The Kickoff Meeting

Page Vault hosted a cocktail hour for its Advisory Board at Legalweek 2024. “It felt more like a group of long-time friends reuniting than an introductory meeting,” reflects Alex Sappington, Co-CEO of Page Vault. “Everyone is so aligned in their passion for legal technology that the conversation and ideas flowed effortlessly, with each board member building perfectly on one another’s thoughts.”

The topics of discussion were widespread, but several themes emerged:

  • A Need for Education. The need to collect online evidence in a legally defensible manner is often still not well understood by the legal community. As Rob Candella stated, “We should be teaching this in law schools.” Shannon Bales echoed this, saying “I’d like to see Page Vault really helping to educate on this topic with CLEs and certifications.”
  • A False Dichotomy: Convenience vs Authentication. Too often, legal professionals are asked to make a choice between a method that fits their workflow but introduces admissibility risks, and a method that is defensible but is hugely cumbersome and cost prohibitive. “It’s no wonder lawyers are choosing to take screenshots over outsourcing collections - that can’t be the only option their practice support team offers,” said Warren Singh.
  • Continued Product Enhancements & Expansion. With a strong base to build from (“I was impressed to learn how many Am Law 200 firms use Page Vault,” said Evan Shenkman), Page Vault has ample opportunity to continue to help simplify workflows and expand into additional use cases. “I can see many other applications of this technology within law firms,” offered Patrick Fuller.

Looking Forward

Page Vault is excited about the formation of its Advisory Board and the potential it holds to guide future product development. "Our users are at the heart of everything we do," states Luke Suydam, Co-CEO of Page Vault. "By forming this Advisory Board, we aim to ensure that we maintain a strong pulse on the needs of the legal industry and that our solutions continue to meet those needs.”

The Advisory Board is expected to meet regularly, with its next meeting scheduled for the coming quarter. As Page Vault embarks on this new chapter, it remains dedicated to providing its users with the best tools to navigate the complexities of authenticated web captures. With the support of its Advisory Board, Page Vault is well positioned to continue its trajectory of growth and innovation.
